Our Factory

At Murlong Cres, we take pride in offering our customers high-quality garments that are ethically produced. We believe in transparency, and that's why we want to introduce you to our factory in Zhejiang, China.

Our factory is a small, family-owned business with just 100 employees. We chose this factory because of its high ethical standards and safe, fulfilling work environment for its employees. The factory has obtained the 'Standard Social Report’ certificate, which is an internationally recognized certification that ensures that a high ethical working standard is met.

We care about the people who make our clothes and the impact our production process has on the environment. That's why we chose to work with a factory that provides fair wages and benefits to its workers. Our employees receive a wage 15-20% higher than the local average.

We also chose to produce in China because we have found that it offers more advanced technology options that can produce the highly intricate design features we want to incorporate into our collections. Hand-drawn embroideries, appliqués, custom lace engineering –– all of these design elements are possible thanks to the expertise of our Chinese factory.

Another reason why we produce in China is because of their expertise when it comes to silk. We love silk and we want to ensure that our customers receive the best quality possible. By producing in China, we can ensure that our silk garments are made to the highest standard.

We believe that fashion and ethics go hand in hand. That's why we're committed to sustainable and ethical production practices. We hope that by introducing you to our factory, you can see our dedication to transparency and ethical fashion.

In addition to our factory in China, we are proud to say that we manufacture some of our garments in-house at our headquarters in Drammen, Norway. This allows us to have complete control over the production process and ensure that every garment meets our high standards. We believe that producing locally is important, not only because it supports our local economy, but also because it allows us to have a more sustainable approach to production. By manufacturing in-house, we are able to minimize waste and reduce our carbon footprint. We have made sure to include information about where each garment was made in the product descriptions, so you can make an informed decision about your purchase and have complete transparency about our production process.
